Melvyn Routledge
Dental Technician
GDC Number: 133097
Melvyn Routledge commenced his dental technician training at Eastman Dental Hospital in 1976 and qualified with distinction. Upon leaving, he took up a position in a leading dental laboratory in Harley Street, London. Five years later he was offered the position of Senior Director, running an exclusive private laboratory.
Since 1988 he has run Routledge Laboratories on the Kent / Surrey border specialising in aesthetic implant and crown & bridge restorations.
As recognition of his skills and the high standard of his work, Melvyn was invited to become a member of the Oral Design® International Foundation some fifteen years ago. This is a group of elite dental technicians from around the world who are recognised for their exceptional abilities, both with their hands-on technical work, and for their teaching and communication skills. To become a member of Oral Design®, the technician 'requires the skills of a craftsman and the touch of an artist'.
Melvyn has developed his laboratory into one of the most successful in the country; his attitude towards always achieving excellence and getting the best out of his team ensures the continued quality and success of his work.
His hobbies include a profound interest in fast motorcars. He is also involved with many country activities including live stock rearing and local fishing organisations.
